Excellent family accomodation

Liked: Very close to the beach, and easy access to/from main roads
Disliked: Restricted hours of recreation/gym/spa area (same as Manager\'s hours which are limited)

We had a great time, this was our second stay. We were in 403 which was very tidy.

The 703 apartment was particularly nice, last year we were in 503 - I found 5O3 to be a \"tired\" looking place. 7O3, was bright and the bedding was fresh, attractive and the whole place had a fresh,modern updated feel. unlike 5O3. Our stay in 7O3 was very comfortable, we were down there to relax so we made good use of the apartment and spent most of the time there, if not on the beach. I shall rebook next year and will make sure I do not book 5O3. I do not know what the other apartments are like, but would like to comment on how lovely 7O3 was ..both my sister and I said it had obviously been updated and this was so very much appreciated, it added comfort to our stay, which we enjoyed immensely. Both my sister and I work full time, every year we take a week off and we chose Pelican Sands. We wish to keep this on our \"to do\" list every year from here on in. Many thanks to Jane, who was very welcoming and helpful. She cared about whether or not we had enjoyed our time there, which we found very considerate and I did mention to her that we thought the apartment was wonderful and well worth the money we had paid for our stay there. Thanking you ..until the next time 2012 October.

Have been coming here for more than 20 years, and still love the place. Staff are very freindly and helpful, and rooms and location are beautiful. Very well priced as well. Look forward to coming back soon.

We have stayed at many locations at the Gold Coast, Pelican Sands with the beautiful views, clean apartments and friendly service tops them all. Pelican Sands is 'our' place to stay for R& R from now on.

I have stayed at this resort on several occassions being so close to John Flynn has made my medical trips with parents so easy with its convenient location

Location was excellent with all rooms having a beach front view as advertised. Path near back of hotel facing the ocean has a path that takes you right onto the beach for miles of walking on soft, clean sand. Great outdoor pool. Rooms included washer and dryer, complete kitchen cookware (except for coffee pot), hair dryer, ironing board,etc.
The lift was working intermittently during the day, due to a renovation. However this was widely advertised so customers were aware of this and rooms were slightly discounted accordingly.
The hotel is older and is clean. Some rooms could begin to get a bit of an update.

Disliked: It would have suited our needs to have a pet friendly hotel as our son and wife have a dog. It would have made it easier to have the dog in the room for short periods.

The room we stayed in was nice, but it was really in need of refurbishment. the pools were very deep with no shallow end. not great for little ones.

Had a great stay for 2 nights.... great views to the beach/ocean on one side and the Mtns on the other. Great units – nice, neat and spacious. Met some other very nice guests.

Room was not clean - moths in kitchen, dirty fans and vents clogged with dust, very mouldy shower, outdated bathroom (plastic on toilet seat peeling off), feet were black after walking on capret, needs complete renovation
